Tattoo Aftercare

We have two Options at Sharptooth Tattoo

Option 1 Saniderm / Second Skin / Dermasheild :

Saniderm / Second Skin / Dermashield is a clear breathable bandage that is waterproof and allows tattoo to heal twice as fast compared to ointment alone. You can shower with Saniderm as long as you do not submerge the Tattoo.

If Saniderm/ Second Skin/ Dermashield is used leave the clear bandage on for 4 days. then remove the clear bandage under warm water to assist with the adhesive. Next wash your new tattoo with non-scented anti-bacterial soap. Then dry off Tattoo by dabbing or patting with a soft cloth or paper towel. Once the Tattoo is dry apply ointment to the tattoo twice a day for two to three days. We prefer Aquaphor or Tattoo Goo. Both can be found at your local Convince store. Last switch to non-scented lotion to ensure your tattoo does not dry out.

Option 2: following appointment wash your new tattoo with non-scented anti-bacterial soap. next apply small amount of ointment to tattoo twice a day for a week. We prefer Aquaphor or Tattoo Goo. Last switch to non-scented lotion to ensure your tattoo does not dry out.
